In 2019 I took a trip to Junee, NSW, to visit the famous, or more correctly infamous, Monte Cristo Homestead.
The old homestead sits atop a low hill just West of the main town.
Monte
Cristo is known for the alleged spirits that still 'live' in the old
house and it's surrounding outbuildings. In fact it is arguably the most
haunted house in Australia!
The fascinating and sometimes tragic
history of Monte Cristo is worth the trip to Junee where you can wonder
the grounds and see for yourself the places the terrible events took place.
Who know's, you may even have an encounter that you can not quite explain whilst exploring the grounds.
In my book, Encounters With The Spirit World, I have written extensively of the history of Monte Cristo.
While in Junee be sure to visit the Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory where you can enjoy a delicious lunch. The Ray Warren statue in town is also worth getting a selfie with for sports fans.
